OJ Speaks out against Michael Richards racial outburst
Following the announcement of canceling O.J. Simpson’s interview and book project entitled “If I did it”, a proposed hypothetical tell-all, Simpson spoke out against the racial slurs of comedian Michael Richards.
“This wasn’t just bad comedy. It was just pure racism,” said Simpson. “I think that in this day and age people should be held accountable. If I had my way, we’d just string him up”.
In what was described as a racist meltdown, Michael Richards verbally assaulted a few African American hecklers in attendance at the Los Angeles comedy club audience with references to lynching and dropped the N-bomb several times.
Richards is best known for his character “Kramer” on the hit series Seinfeld.
In a brief appearance on David Letterman, Richards made a public apology via satellite during guest Jerry Seinfeld’s segment.
