Lindsay Lohan DUI

Police tell TMZ that 20-year-old Lindsay Lohan and two other adults were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible when she lost control and crashed into a curb and trees in Beverly Hills, Calif. around 5:30 AM.
After the crash, police say Lohan got into another car and was driven to Century City Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries that involved "something to her upper chest area." The two other people in her car were not hurt, they said.
Officers received a 911 call about the accident and "tracked Ms. Lohan to the local hospital, where she was ultimately placed under arrest" for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (Cops say they found a "usable amount" of a drug they say was cocaine at the scene). Lt. McCann said it appeared as if Lohan was speeding and lost control. Lohan was cited and released and will have to face a judge.

Paris Hilton Jail Update

Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore says Paris Hilton will only serve 23 days of her 45-day jail sentence. During her stay at the Century Regional Detention Center, beginning June 5th, Paris will be housed in a special unit reserved for high profile inmates such as celebrities and public officials.
Us Magazine reports "Despite the fact that Hilton, 26, appeared late for her latest court date, her sentence was shortened by police officials on account of good behavior, Whitmore said....Like everyone else in the 2,200-inmate facility, Hilton will get at least an hour outside her cell each day to shower, watch television, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone, he said."

Paris Hilton is Going to Jail

Paris Hilton has been sentenced to 45 days in county jail for violating her probation. Hilton must go to jail by June 5.
On January 15, Hilton was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol. Officers informed her that she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging that she was not to drive, according to papers filed in Superior Court.
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies stopped Hilton on February 27 and charged her with violating her probation. Police said she was pulled over about 11 p.m., after authorities saw the car speeding with it's headlights off.
Hilton's spokesman, Elliot Mintz, said at the time Hilton wasn't aware her license was suspended. A copy of the document Hilton signed on January 15 was found in the car's glove compartment, court papers say.
